Neighbourhood Watch Coffee Mornings

Created by John 4 years ago

Molly would never miss a Neighbourhood Watch coffee morning or cheese and wine party.  She could always be relied upon to provide either banana loaf or cheese biscuits which always went down well.  She would "hold court" and entertain with her stories and anecdotes.  She will be missed by everyone.  She always said that she only knew her immediate neighbours until the advent of the NHW coffee mornings which introduced her to new friends and neighbours.

When we first moved into Westerfield Road, opposite Molly, she was the first person to come over and introduce herself.  She allowed our contractors to park outside her house for the 10 months it took to do the renovations.  Once all that was finished, we took a small gift over to Molly to say thankyou and that was our first experience of Molly's hospitality.  We staggered back home 3 hours and numerous drinks later having had a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting evening in Molly's company.  She was a special neighbour/friend and we came to love her dearly.
