A fond memory with Molly was the occasion we dined at Simpson's on the Strand for her 96th Birthday. While the dress code at Simpson's has moderated over the years - the occasion and our Smith family tradition were formal.  Molly and the Smith ladies looked beautiful.  After an incredible meal (where I believe Molly even enjoyed an extra helping of roast beef), wine and joyful celebrations, we decided to visit The Savoy for a nightcap. We were welcomed into the back bar and enjoyed the sounds of a very talented band of musicians. Molly explained to us all that she actually had spent her wedding night at The Savoy [and all that entails...given the conservative era!]. Our waitress was so enthralled by Molly and her wonderful personality that she organised a special treat. The singer shortly after called out a dedication for the next track "Welcome back to the Savoy, Molly".  The experience and the company were absolutely priceless.
